About the New Year resolutions
In the beginning of this year I made a list with my goals for 2020. Some of the goals I carried out, some not. Two of the goals I didn't get were to achieve a B1 level in French, and to start an investment in a bank fund. Now I know why I wasn't be able to get those goals: one of the reasons is that I didn't keep track of my habits related with those goals, and another is that the habits adopted weren't the best. I didn't read anything about investment and interests, and I didn't search for a French speaker to practice with. Only those last three or four days of 2020 I have read something about compound interest or prices for French courses.
But I managed to far overcome expectations for some of my resolutions. For instance, about exercise and losing weight, I adopted good ways in feeding and gym routines, where I only expected to leave bread and jogging a few days a week. The other is to achieve a level in English with I feel confortable with. Therefore, I want to share with you, potential recurrent reader, some ideas I have for achieving goals.
1. After you establish your goals, you have to define different habits around the goals and then going throught the habits, forgetting partially the initial goal. After all, keeping the dairy/weekly habit is more powerful and meaningful that achieving the target goal in itself.
2. Try to search for some tutor or coach, who knows about the thing or the knowledge you want to acquire. It's faster the process if you have someone who knows the path you are trying to go throught. For the case of nutrition and exercise, I watched lots of videos in youtube about the topics, and in the way I found youtubers who seems to know the matters, and I learnt and followed many of their advices. For French, I paid for a course starting in 2021.
3. Your goals needs a limit time, since a little pressure is necessary if you don't want to sleep on the path.
For now those are my three tips for carrying out goals. Let me know your own tips!
